I get teased about this all the time by those close to me… It’s Not About the Pen
You see my email signature includes the line “It’s Not about the Pen” not because I don’t like pens… but because of something I inherently knew.
People won’t always remember what you said but they will always remember how you made them feel.
You see, that’s what we believe this business is about – making people feel valued – important – connected.
The swag itself is just the vehicle – not the message itself. Whether its a T-shirt that makes them smile – “GOT JUNK” (done for AIM Recycling Centers, or a Journal with the recipients name on it – for Unconventional Planning, the success comes from the emotion, not the gift.
So you see, it really isn’t about the “pen”.
